CALL FOR ABSTRACTS July 19, 2016

The Earth Retaining Structures Committee of ASCE/G-I would like to invite
you to submit an abstract for presenting at the First ASCE Earth Retaining
Structures (ERS) web conference that covers case histories and the
latest updates in ERS Codes and Licensing requirements.

It will be a live online event (and recording available later online) on August
24, 2016. Case histories will be presented on the performance of existing
structures and new advances for the design of earth retaining structures. Get
up-to-date with the new codes (including LRFD specifications) affecting the
design of ERS’s. We’ll also take a look at new development regarding the
licensing issues for ERS engineers. PDH’s will also be provided to the
attendees.

The conference will consist of two 60-minute sessions with three 20-minute
presentations each. The first session will begin at 12 pm Eastern and the 2nd
session will begin at 1:30 Eastern. Each presentation will include some
questions and answers. Can’t make the live event? No problem, it will be
available on the Geo-Institute websites for viewing at a later time; the link will
be sent to all registrants.

Please submit a short abstract of your presentation by July 19, 2016 to:
Glen Andersen, ScD, P.E.
You will not need to prepare a full paper, only a 15 minute presentation with
5 minutes for questions!
