The Geo-Institute has 14 Board-level committees and 21 technical committees spanning all areas of the geoprofession.

About Committees


Board-Level Committees

Board-Level Committees focus on major program activities of the Geo-Institute, including overseeing technical activities, local activities, organizational membership, awards, and international activities.

Technical Committees

Technical committees focus on unique technical areas within the geo-industry and encompass all major technical disciplines within geotechnical enginneering and the geoprofession.

Codes and Standards Committees

Codes and standards committees operate under the direction of the Geo-Institute Codes and Standards Council. These committees focus on specific guidance or standards being developed by the Geo-Institute.

Task Forces

Task forces are short duration groups that investigate a specific issue or activity and provide recommendations to the G-I Board on the path forward.
